Cabins are not moral factions

In the books, your cabin depends on your divine parent, not a questionnaire. Members of a cabin do not have identical personalities. Here, narrative affinity means which priorities you protect and which costs you accept when values collide.

We do not infer personality from gender, background, mental health or appearance. We avoid reducing Aphrodite to vanity, Ares to violence or Hades to evil. The characters’ contradictions matter more than those stereotypes.

Our starting points

• Recognition and belonging: who has a voice when rules exclude the unclaimed?
• Loyalty and shared responsibility: which risks can you accept, and which are not yours to impose?
• Pride and control: can you revise a plan when doing so costs authority?
• Trust and repair: can you cooperate without declaring a wrong repaired?
• Fate and choice: when does an uncertain interpretation become a sentence?

Eight affinities, not the entire camp

This edition compares Poseidon, Athena, Ares, Apollo, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hermes and Hades. Zeus, Demeter, Dionysus and other gods are outside its scope, not less valuable. Hera and Artemis are not treated as parents of campers.

How scoring works

Every answer gives six points across three affinities: three, two and one. Questions carry equal weight. For each cabin we divide its points by the maximum it could earn from the same questions, because profiles do not appear equally often. This relative support is not a probability or a personality percentage.

Exact ties are presented as shared, with links to all tied cabins. Fixed editorial order only decides which page opens first. A gap below 0.06 on the normalised scale is described as close. That threshold is a design choice, not a scientific measure. Three actual answers illustrate the result.

The questionnaire has not been psychometrically validated. Its weights and descriptions are editorial interpretations. The English and Spanish editions use identical scoring; switching languages preserves choices in the same tab.
